WRT-WATER RESTORATION TECHNICIAN - Cost $450.00

The WRT-Water Damage Restoration Technician course is designed to teach restoration personnel that perform remediation work to give them a better concept of water damage, it’s effects and techniques for drying of structures. This course will give residential and commercial maintenance personnel the background to understand the procedures necessary to deal with water losses, sewer backflows, and contamination such as mold. 

TOPICS TO BE COVERED:  Introduction in Water Damage Restoration; History of Water Damage Restoration; Health and Safety; Readiness; Psychrometrics; Equipment and Supplies; Mildew Growth and Correction;
Chemicals; Application of Antimicrobials; Odor Elimination; Effects of Water on Flooring Materials; Structural Drying; Initial Inspection/Damage Containment; Standard Dry-Out Procedures for Water Damage.

$65 IICRC testing fee: Those successfully completing this course and examination will qualify for professional certification. Separate check and application to IICRC of $65 is required. Payable at the class by credit card or check payable to The IICRC.

ASD-APPLIED STRUCTURAL DRYING TECHNICIAN - Cost $1095.00

Hands on in the  Fun House - just a few steps from the classroom.  

This four day IICRC-approved Applied Structural Drying (ASD) course is designed to teach the effective, efficient and timely drying of water-damaged structures and contents, using comprehensive classroom and hands-on training, in order to facilitate appropriate decision making within a restorative drying environment. 

Pre-requisite is active certification in WRT. Students should wear work clothes.  Please wear shoes that can get wet.

IICRC ATTENDANCE POLICY FOR WRT/ASD CLASS: This course must be attended in its entirety along with passing both WRT and ASD exams during that same five (5) day period.  If any portion of the course and exam are not completed during the five (5) day period, the student is required to re-attend the entire five (5) day course to receive both certifications.  No portion of the five (5) day course can be applied to either a WRT or ASD course being taught separately. ASD: The IICRC-approved Applied Structural Drying (ASD) course is designed to teach the effective, efficient and timely drying of water-damaged structures and contents, using comprehensive classroom and hands-on training, in order to facilitate appropriate decision making within a restorative drying environment. Hands-on training includes flooding an actual home structure then learning how to correctly dry it down.
